Prison Ministry Testimonies
My name is Pituwa Emmanuel...
I am from Namugongo Pentecostal Church (NPC) in Kampala, Uganda. Our church is zealous of serving God in truth and in spirit. Each Sunday we have 500 church members attend our services. We also run a secondary school and a primary school. The students have a great need for spiritual development and so we have been doing a lot of discipleship with them. Between the church and the schools we have 212 people enrolled in the Basic Discipleship Course provided to us by Emmanuel Press.
We have discipleship sessions with the students in Namugongo Secondary and Vocational School every Sunday. We have trained student leaders who have played a big role in impacting the lives of other students during the discipleship lessons. We saw a need of having more than one leader when our students taking discipleship increased from 50 to more than 100. Emmanuel Press lessons have opened up doors for our church to train more leaders to help disciple other disciples.
I have been so much blessed to coordinate this ministry within our church and schools. Emmanuel Press discipleship lessons have taught me a lot of things that l needed to know about God and his love for me. The lessons have benefited me a lot even during our fellowship times. I preach in our church and to the students during the student fellowships, but these lessons have helped me as they have been used as a sermon. For example we preached about water baptism in our service and many people desired to be baptized. We also taught about the Holy Spirit and many students were filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
Thanks a lot for all that you have sacrificed to see to it that we the people of NPC benefit from this program. Thank you for sending donations to this ministry to help them provide these materials to us. May God bless you abundantly for the services you are rendering to us.
